The full form of EWS is Economically Weaker Sections and this certificate is given to the people who are financially not sound. The recipient must be of the general category to apply for an EWS certificate. People belonging to OBC, SC, and ST are not eligible for applying for this certificate.
The bill was authorized on 12th January 2019 by the Indian president. This certificate has come into effect from 2019 and it is first passed in Gujarat on 14th January 2019.
Under the EWS, the General Category candidate has been given a 10% reservation. This 10% is evaluated in the income certificate and not in the caste receipt.
The candidate can enjoy this opportunity at the time of admission in school/colleges or for government jobs by getting this certificate.

Who can issue EWS?

To get the EWS Certificate, you can go to your regional government authority i.e. Tehsildar. This certificate is also recognized by the name of Income& Assets Certificate. You will have to submit the mandatory documents and then the officer will verify it and hand out your certificate.
District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional. Magistrate, Deputy Commissioner, Taluka Magistrate, Assistant Commissioner, Chief Presidency Magistrate, 1st Class Stipendiary Magistrate, Presidency Magistrate, Tehsildar, Sub-Divisional Officer can give you the certificate.
How many days does it take to get an EWS certificate?
To applying for this certificate, visit your tehsil or the office from where you can easily collect valid information regarding it. It will take in between 15 – 30 days after the submission of the application.
